The Portfolio Manager (?PM?) is a member of Asia Investment Management (AIM) division i.e. Bank Julius Baer?s (the ?Bank?) investment management competence center for Asia strategies. His/her main responsibilities include the day-to-day management and monitoring of the Asia Fixed Income Discretionary Portfolio Management (?DPM?) mandates, UCITs Funds and Structured Products offered to the Bank?s High Net Worth clients. The incumbent is expected to work closely with the Relationship Managers (?RMs?) to understand the clients? unique goals, risk profiles and ensuring the consistent implementation of mandates against the mandate?s stated guidelines or clients? requirements. The PM will also be responsible for the... oversight of the strategies managed by him/her, which includes ensuring the compliance of DPM mandates, UCITs Funds and Structured Products with the applicable laws and regulations. The Fixed Income PM should have prior relevant experience and a proven record of accomplishment in the Asia Fixed Income Portfolio Management field.

As a Material Risk Personnel of the Bank (as defined under the Individual Accountability and Conduct policy), you have the authority to make decisions or conduct activities that can significantly impact the Bank's safety and soundness, or cause harm to a significant segment of the Bank?s customers or other stakeholders. As a Material Risk Personnel, you are also to comply with the standards of conducts expected and satisfy the fitness and propriety on an on-going basis.

Regulatory Responsibilities &/OR Risk Management

Ensure appropriate ethical and compliant behaviour within the area of responsibility by clear demonstration of appropriate values and behaviours including but not limited to standards on honesty and integrity, due care and diligence, fair dealing (treating customers fairly), management of conflicts of interest, competence and continuous development, adequate risk management, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations
Day to day management of the DPM mandates, UCITS Funds and Structured Products offered by the Bank, including pre and post trade monitoring to ensure mandates or funds? adherence with the stated guidelines and Bank?s in-house investment policies.

Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively manage more than 100 client portfolios and various Asia Fixed Income products
Ability to prioritize, multi-task and manage stress in a dynamic environment.

Professional and Technical

Excellent track record with at least 8 years of relevant experience in Asia Fixed Income Portfolio Management

Extensive knowledge in Financial Markets, Financial Instruments, regulation, economic theories and valuation tool, in particular relating to Fixed Income investing in Asia
Proficiency in Financial Software such as Bloomberg, Reuters and etc, Excel and other research tools
University degree and sound academic background in Finance.
CFA qualification is an advantage.

CMFAS Module 3, Module 6


MAS RNF registered representatives to perform the regulated activities in Fund Management
Familiar with regulatory expectations and requirements
