The Project

My client is replacing its current mobile phone network, switching them to soft phones/ teams, there fore we require a Project Manager with experience of telephony, softphone implementation experience* *

Reporting to a Senior PM, Programme or Portfolio Manager (at Leader level), this role will be responsible for the management of IT and Business Change Projects (within the Transversal Portfolio) across the UK business units, including all relevant staff and stakeholder management in line with our project delivery framework

To support IT / COO / BU functions across the UK Group by the application of disciplined programme & project management methodology and industry experience that ensures best practice and compliance to the UK project delivery framework

Key accountabilities & responsibilities

Delivery Management

Responsibility for oversight & delivery of specific project(s) within a portfolio or work, ensuring delivery is on time, within budget and to scope & quality standards.

Applies and champions the appropriate project management discipline, i.e., planning, resourcing, scheduling, monitoring, reporting, finance and risk, issue and dependency management.

Establishes an effective project organisation structure, ensuring strong stakeholder engagement across other functions and 3rd Party partners. Builds best practice governance model and provides timely and accurate reporting in line with expected standards (SteerCo's & Stakeholder meetings)

Responsible for the development and management of budget and expenditure within projects.

Responsible for overall project planning & management of resources required (including well developed contingency plans) to deliver the agreed solutions.

Responsibility for managing relationships with clients, stakeholders, suppliers and key customers to ensure delivery meets requirements within the scope of project responsibilities

Specialist skills & experience

Enter the technical / specialist knowledge, skills and experience that are needed to carry out the role.

Previous experience with proven track record of delivery in technical/IT projects (typically with an infrastructure or application focus) , ideally within complex, federated / multi-organisational environments

Accredited at Project Management discipline (practitioner level) (e.g. Certified project Manager, APMP, Prince2 practitioner, )

Project Management Disciplines with experience in Agile & Waterfall delivery approach

Experience of budget management

Proven decision-making ability

Excellent communication skills

Experience of influencing senior management population

Good understanding of end-to-end IT solutions and the IT delivery lifecycle

Experience in Stakeholder Management across multiple Operating Companies / Business Units
