About the Role:

Join the pioneering team at Pollen Robotics as we advance the development of open-source humanoid robots designed for practical use in real-world environments.

Our robots are engineered to interact seamlessly with humans, adapt to various human environments, and effectively manipulate objects around. At Pollen Robotics, we are committed to transforming the integration of humanoid robots beyond experimental lab environments into daily applications. We work closely with research laboratories around the globe, supporting them as our main customers and users, helping to expand the capabilities and reach of our technology.

We are searching for an Electronics Engineer with a passion for building elegant and efficient product and the desire to work in a cross-disciplinary team.

• Develop conceptual designs and conduct analysis... to support key design decisions
• Design and validate PCBAs for critical components of the robotics platform like brushless motor control, power distribution, camera module integration.
• Support the review of design artifacts (schematics, layouts, bill of materials…) from your peers or external suppliers
• Help design and write firmware (Rust, C) for motor control, sensing and communication.
• Support system integration and test activities by contributing to test execution and debugging

• Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• 5+ years of industry experience
• Solid electronics engineering fundamentals with hands-on experience designing, building, and testing PCBAs, including skills in both schematics and layout
• Experience in designing PCBAs in respect with European Standards
• Highly-skilled in debugging HW issues. You know how to attack a problem, document, and come up with solutions quickly. This include being able to solder and wire PCB/Cables.
• Based close enough to Bordeaux (France) to work on hardware prototype with the team as often as needed.

Nice to Have:
• Highly-skilled in writing product-oriented firmware (embedded Rust, C), with a focus on ruggedness and maintainability.
• Open-source project management skills (communication and working with people outside the company)
