• Strong deal flow through government partnerships with further opportunity to work on private infrastructure deals
• Melbourne based head office

Our client acts as an investor, advisor, developer, sponsor and manager of infrastructure and structured finance projects. The company’s core business is leading bidding consortiums and investments into government sponsored projects. This is a major source of profits but the business is nimble and able to work on a range of diverse private and public transactions or projects at any given time.

We are recruiting an Associate to join the origination team in Melbourne, which is the headquarters of the business. As part of a small team you will have the unique opportunity to be involved in all aspects of bidding for and developing assets. This may include selection of partners and financiers... financial/tax/legal structuring, modelling and bid optimisation, preparation of debt and equity terms sheets, documentation, negotiation of terms, bid strategy and generation of bid submissions. In order to deliver across these activities the Associate will complete financial analysis, modelling, due diligence and documentation as well as liaising and negotiating across all aspects of projects.

The ideal candidate will have superior financial and modelling skills, ability to proactively solve problems, strong work ethic and drive, capability to meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment, and an ability to build relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders. This background is likely to come from 3-6 years’ experience in M&A, project finance or infrastructure investing. Experience is most likely to come from an investment bank, institutional bank or professional services firm. The role requires a unique combination of attention to detail, proactive problem solving and an ability to see the broader picture. The firm will give you great exposure to senior management and all stakeholders across projects for your own professional development.
