Take the advertising sales reins on an esablished, market leading B2B media brand targeting the medical equipment and pharmaceutical sector.

Position title: Account Manager

Direct reports: Individual contributor

Role type: Part time (3.5 days per week)

Location: Remote

Remuneration: $65k salary + commission, $73k OTE

About The Company

Our client is the publisher of two market-leading print & digital B2B media brands, each targeting a different high-growth industry. The business consists of a small, close-knit team boasting decades of media experience in some of Australia’s biggest media companies. The team is fully remote, connected by their Slack channels that ping all day. The team encourages each other to produce work they can all be proud of and valued by their readers. Due to increased advertiser demand, our client has a vacancy on its advertising sales team.

About The Role

The objective of the Account Manager role is to hit and exceed revenue targets - this role is a... mix of servicing existing clients and outbound, proactive new business development.

Key Duties Include
• Selling to active/lapsed clients - communicating the value of your media brand through telephone conversations, in-person/virtual meetings and networking events
• Prospecting for new clients - competitor analysis and keeping abreast of industry developments
• Sales strategy - client analysis, pitch development, trade marketing, content idea development
• Sales administration - proposals, booking forms, sales deck creation, ad material, content team liaison
• Reporting - current bookings, forecasts and progress-to-target reports

About you

This role is ideal for an experienced media sales professional looking for greater WFH flexibility or a sales coordinator / account executive looking to take the next career step without sacrificing work/life balance.

• Core sales skills - prospecting, pitching, objection handling, proposals, sales documentation, client servicing
• Communication skills - excellent phone manner, articulate, persuasive and memorable with excellent written communication skills
• Technology skills - Google Workspace cloud environment (ie, Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Meet, etc), Slack, Google Analytics, Keynote/PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe Creative Suite (ie, Acrobat, Photoshop), CRM (ie, AdOrbit), EMS (ie, Campaign Monitor)

• Media sales experience selling to clients direct, and to their agencies
• Demonstrable track record of corporate / B2B sales success
• Exposure to the medical or pharmaceutical industries would be an advantage

• Enthusiastic, outgoing, energetic and likeable with a positive mindset and a can-do attitude
• Social people person who loves talking to clients and suggesting ways you can help
• Honest, reliable and dependable with high integrity and excellent time management
• Team player who puts the team’s needs first
• Intelligent and streetsmart with the ability to see opportunities quickly and think on your feet
• Resilient with the ability to bounce back from setbacks

• Australia / NZ citizen or Australian permanent resident
• Residing in Greater Sydney / Wollongong / Blue Mountains / Central Coast
