The HKBUAS Wong Kam Fai Secondary and Primary School is a non-profit making

co-educational English medium school under the Direct Subsidy Scheme (DSS) which began

operations in September 2006. We are a through-train primary and secondary school which

places great emphasis on 3 literacies (Chinese, English and IT) and is committed to the tradition

and educational belief of the Hong Kong Baptist University in educating the ‘whole person’.

We invite qualified candidates to apply for the following post commencing on 1st September


Educational Psychologist II

Major Duties: 

Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments to understand the cognitive,

emotional, and behavioral characteristics of students, including gifted students 

Provide expert guidance and recommendations to teachers, parents, and school staff on

addressing learning difficulties, behavioral issues, and social/emotional concerns 

Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and... interventions to

support students’ unique needs 

Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to create inclusive learning

environments 

Conduct workshops and training sessions for teachers and parents on relevant topics such

as talent development, social-emotional support for students, and mental health awareness 

Stay up to date with current research and best practices in educational psychology and

contribute to the development of school-wide policies and practices

Requirements: 

A first degree in Psychology from a local university or equivalent 

A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Educational Psychology (Professional Practice) from a

local university or equivalent 

Obtained full membership of the Division of Educaional Psychology of the Hong Kong

Psychological Society or an equivalent status in an internationally recognised professional

organization of Educational Psychology 

Relevant experience in conducting psychoeducational assessments and providing

evidence-based interventions 

Knowledge of educational regulations, and policies related to special education and student

support services 

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with

students, parents, and a multidisciplinary team 

Work experience in a school setting is highly desirable 

Qualification or training or demonstrable involvement in Gifted Education will be an

advantage 

Excellent communication skills (oral and written) in Chinese and English; ability to speak

Putonghua will be preferred
