Job Description

Role Background

As Wolt continues to expand, so does our team. We’re now looking to bolster our ranks with a Senior Technical Accountant in a Group accounting team. We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our finance team and take on the responsibility for non-revenue related technical accounting matters, with a specific focus on lease accounting and the implementation and maintenance of accounting in LeaseCals.. What You’ll Be Doing
• Serve as the subject matter expert on non-revenue related technical accounting issues, staying abreast of the latest developments and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.
• Lead the implementation and ongoing maintenance of lease accounting processes, ensuring compliance with lease accounting standards (IFRS16 and ASC 842), and managing entries in LeaseCals.
• Prepare and review financial statements templates, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of Group accounting policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulatory changes.
• Drive the implementation of new accounting standards on non-revenue related topics and updates, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth transitions and compliance.
• Assess and strengthen internal controls related to non-revenue accounting areas, identifying and mitigating potential risks.
• Conduct in-depth research on complex accounting issues, providing well-reasoned and practical recommendations to senior management.
• Work closely with various departments, including finance, legal, and audit teams, to ensure a comprehensive understanding of business transactions and their accounting implications.
• Develop roadmaps for the Technical accounting team and give the inputs to other teams roadmaps.
• Collaborate with external auditors during the audit process, ensuring all financial information is accurate and audit-ready.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the technical accounting function, driving initiatives to enhance overall effectiveness.

• Proven experience (6+ years) in technical accounting roles, with a focus on non-revenue related topics and lease accounting.
• Thorough understanding of IFRS and US GAAP accounting standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Willingness to learn and grow.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
• Must be eligible to work in the E.U.
