We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team in Laylas Restaurant in The Devlin Hotel, Dublin.

Applicant Requirements:
• Have experience managing a high-volume venue
• Have experience in a premium restaurant
• Flexibility with shift times
• Be committed to continual personal improvement and advancement in their profession
• Have a keen eye for detail
• Be a hands-on natural leader
• Level-headed/sensible and consistent in nature, trustworthy and reliable
• Ability to work flexibly under pressure with a good sense of humour

• Superior customer service skills
• Strong operational experience
• Previous experience and strong knowledge of food and beverage essential
• Strong communicator
• At least 2 years’ experience in a busy F&B venue
• At least 3 years’ experience in a management role
• Previous keyholder experience

Main Duties:
• Ensure smooth running of all food and beverage operations in the absence of the Restaurant Manager
• Ensure weekly/daily checklists are completed by bar staff.
• Ensure all the floor team adhere to systems and procedures.
• Ensure strong communication with manager on duty on a daily basis.
• Ensure all restaurants are prepared for service in advance of each shift and in accordance with relevant standards.
• Ensure that all staff arrive to work on time and in correct uniform per weekly roster.
• Develop, train and coach floor staff to the standards required of a The Devlin Hotel establishment.
• Ensure cash procedures are being followed correctly at the end of shift.
• To conduct yourself in a professional manner, to show leadership, teamwork and to delegate.
• To be involved in the setting of department targets and objectives, and to monitor and strive for their achievement.
• To input new ideas for service and products.
• To be an effective communicator with guests/clients and staff at all levels.
• To be confident with dealing with customer complaints and issues as they arise.
• To ensure guest drinks and food are served according to company standards.
• To give clear direction and guidelines to team members
• To motivate and be proactive in encouraging team commitment and spirit.
