**Job Brief**:

- We are looking for a Data Scientist to join a multinational FinTech company, with offices in Paris.
• *Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project objectives, scope, and requirements.
- Explore and analyse complex datasets to discover trends, patterns, and insights.
- Develop and implement data mining and machine learning algorithms to solve business problems and optimize processes.
- Use programming languages (such as Python or R) and data manipulation frameworks (such as Pandas) for data preprocessing, cleaning, and feature engineering.
- Perform exploratory data analysis and data visualisation to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.
- Design and execute experiments to test hypotheses and validate models, ensuring their accuracy and reliability.
- Collaborate with data engineers to ensure the availability, quality, and integrity of data required for analysis and modelling.
- Keep abreast of the latest advancements... in data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence, and propose their adoption in relevant projects.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide data-driven insights and recommendations.
- Present findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences in a clear and concise manner.
- Collaborate with data privacy and security teams to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and protect sensitive data.
- Document methodologies, assumptions, and steps taken during the data science process for reproducibility and knowledge sharing.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior data scientists, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
• *Requirements and skills**:

- Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R for data manipulation, analysis, and modelling.
- Solid understanding of statistical analysis, data mining, machine learning, and predictive modelling techniques.
- Experience with data visualisation tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Familiarity with databases, SQL, and data querying.
- Knowledge of big data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark or Hadoop is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with the capacity to translate complex findings into actionable insights.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to define project requirements and deliver on objectives.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
