As a Principal Sales Engineer at Cerence, you'll play a pivotal role in driving business growth by leveraging your technical expertise to support our sales efforts. Working closely with our customers and partners, you'll provide tailored solutions that address their unique needs, demonstrating the value of Cerence's AI-powered technologies and guiding them through the integration process. With the opportunity to collaborate across teams and engage with cutting-edge technologies, this role offers an exciting chance to combine technical proficiency with strategic thinking, all while contributing to the advancement of automotive innovation.

But that's not all! As a Cerence team member, you'll also:
• Offering technical guidance and support regarding our AI-powered solutions to clients and partners.
• Collaborating closely with sales teams to craft customized solutions that meet specific customer needs.
• Engaging with prospective clients through product demonstrations, presentations, and technical discussions, effectively communicating the features and benefits of Cerence's technologies.
• Establishing and nurturing strong relationships with customers and partners, acting as a trusted advisor and providing insights on how our solutions can drive value for their businesses.
• Assisting clients with the integration and implementation of Cerence's solutions into their existing systems and workflows, offering technical assistance and troubleshooting support as needed.
• Soliciting and conveying customer feedback to internal teams for continuous product improvement.
• Staying abreast of industry trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging technologies, and sharing relevant insights to inform product development and sales strategies.
• Collaborating with marketing and product teams to develop sales collateral, technical documentation, and training materials, empowering sales teams with the knowledge and resources to effectively promote Cerence's solutions.
• Ensuring customer satisfaction and success post-sale by providing ongoing technical support, guidance, and expertise, fostering long-term relationships and driving customer loyalty.

Who you are:
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field, such as computer science or engineering.
• Demonstrated experience in sales or customer-facing roles, preferably within the technology sector.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to understand and address customer requirements effectively.
• A customer-centric mindset, focused on understanding client needs and delivering exceptional service.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and engineering.
• Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving technology landscape.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings, presentations, and industry events.
• Familiarity with CRM software, such as Salesforce, and proficiency in sales enablement tools. Knowledge of the automotive industry is preferred, but not required.
