Job: Clinical Psychologist – Child Sexual Exploitation Service

Salary: £63, 652/FT (£38,192 Prorata)

Permanent: 3 days / 24 hours per week

Location: Covering a number of residential homes and one school, Selby, Goole, Tadcaster & Hull area

We are seeking to recruit an experienced Clinical Psychologist to provide clinical leadership and oversight of the clinical services across two regions: East Yorkshire and Bedford. The Bedford region have a full-time Clinical Specialist in post, to undertake day to day clinical tasks. However, you will provide support, supervision and guidance remotely, with occasional in person visits. The Yorkshire region has a Mental Health Practitioner, who will work alongside you to form the clinical team. As the clinical lead, you will be responsible for the implementation of the service delivery by co-ordinating assessments and interventions, providing guidance and feedback on assessments and clinical recommendations, supporting with multi-agency risk... assessments in relation to CSE, offering consultation, advice and guidance to operational and educational colleagues. You will have a small case-load of direct work e.g. 1-2 young people and will offer a couple of training packages and bespoke workshops for teams as and when required.

This role also offers support to a residential home for young people whose primary need is mental health, as well as a solo home with a bespoke package of care.

Due to the nature of the role and context, an understanding of the impact of trauma and attachment in practice is essential. Experience of working with traumatised individuals, families / systems is essential as well as some leadership experience. We are looking for someone who can lead by example, is fundamentally warm, nurturing and compassionate and can maintain a calm, reflective, systemic position. Ideally you will demonstrate initiative and have experience in leading on various projects.

Candidate Profile

To be successful within this role you will need to have experience in:

· Working with Looked After Children and young people presenting with a range of clinical severity and needs.

· Knowledge of theory and practice of therapeutic interventions with children and young people.

· Assessment, intervention and management of a range of mental health needs including understanding mental health through a trauma lenses.

· Partnership working supporting agreed placement objectives, care planning and progression including regular clinical reporting and routine outcome measures

Essential:

· Registered with the relevant professional body, HCPC

· CAMHS / LAC experience

· Risk assessment in relation to child exploitation

· Clinical leadership/Service development experience

· Interest / passion for working with teenagers

· Experience in using consultation with individuals / organisations / teams

· Be a strong team player, with excellent communication skills

· Highly organised and effective with time management
