We have a fantastic job opening for the position of Clinic Receptionist. We are looking for a positive, proactive person to join our reception team.

Skelian Clinic is a multi-award-winning, private healthcare clinic based in Cheltenham.

Skelian is a busy, local independent clinic and has been providing high standards of care to our patients for over 20 years. We are growing business with an excellent team of Chiropractors, Sports Therapist and Specialist Physiotherapist helping patients to enjoy a better quality of life.

The Role

Our reception team is the first point of contact for all our patients and we are looking for a highly motivated and capable Receptionist to join our experienced team.

You will be responsible for welcoming our patients and putting them at ease whilst they wait for their appointments as well as corresponding with patients in person, over the telephone and via email.

The role will involve working closely with the clinic director, clinic manager... reception team and clinicians.

Main Responsibilities
• Answer the phone politely
• Book and reschedule appointments using our online booking system
• Take payments and invoicing
• Answer key questions about chiropractic, physiotherapy, sports therapy and massage treatments
• Patient follow up
• Work regular receptionist hours with occasional cover (for holidays/sickness)
• Actively engage our patients in conversation while they are waiting

Skills Required
• Computer literacy
• A professional telephone manner
• Excellent spelling and grammar for email correspondence
• Attention to detail
• The ability to multitask and make patients feel well attended to
• Processing payments
• Smart diary management, including booking and rescheduling appointments
• The ability to hold engaging conversations with patients from all walks of life.

In addition, our ideal candidate will be able to deliver an exceptional patient experience, with a personal approach from the booking in stage to the end of their treatment and have the following skills:

This position is great for someone who loves interacting with people, can take direction from the clinic manager and has a genuine interest in health and wellbeing.

Hours

18- 24 hrs a week with flexibility to cover sickness and holidays.

Shifts on offer are three weekday afternoons 1.30pm - 7.30pm and 3 Saturdays mornings a month.

Clinic open hours are Monday to Friday 8.00am to 7.30pm and Saturday's 8.30am to 2.30pm.

Some bank holiday work will be required, as well as flexibility to cover sickness and holidays.

Pay

£12.07/hour paid monthly in arrears.
• There will be an initial 3-month training period to become fully competent working on the front desk. There is a probationary period of 6-months for the job role.*
