Position Summary

Summary: We have an exciting leadership opportunity as an Associate Nurse Unit Manager for the Paediatric Ward at Werribee Mercy Hospital. The Paediatric ward is a bright, child-friendly 12 bed purpose-built unit that caters to elective paediatric admissions and emergency presentations. You will lead a team of friendly, inclusive, and enthusiastic individuals dedicated to providing exceptional clinical service.
• Permanent, part-time positions available commencing in May 2024
• Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships within the organisation, other departments, and external stakeholders to facilitate exceptional patient care.
• Form an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team and provide highly responsive and flexible care to our paediatric patients and their families ensuring a holistic approach

About You

We are seeking an Associate Nurse Unit Manager who provides leadership and high quality, client-focused care to our patients, their families and carers utilising a family centred and holistic approach.

You will have;
• Registration with the Australia Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
• Demonstrated ability in cardiac pulmonary resuscitation (BLS), Paediatric resuscitation and accurate drug calculations
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse multidisciplinary team
• Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
• Previous experience as a Registered Nurse in Paediatric ward (essential)
• Previous experience as Associate Nurse Unit Manager in a Paediatric Ward (desirable)
• Postgraduate qualification in Paediatric Nursing or Paediatric Sub Specialty (desirable)
