Key Responsibilities:
• Cost Estimation and Budgeting:
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, and equipment.
• Assist in developing project budgets and cost control measures to ensure profitability and financial viability.
• Quantity Measurement and Analysis:
• Measure and quantify materials and labor required for construction projects based on drawings and specifications.
• Conduct on-site visits and assessments to verify quantities and monitor progress.
• Contract Management:
• Prepare and evaluate tender documents, contracts, and variations.
• Monitor contract compliance and identify and resolve discrepancies or issues related to quantity and cost.
• Cost Control and Monitoring:
• Monitor and control project costs to ensure adherence to budget and financial objectives.
• Analyze and report on cost variances and provide recommendations for cost-saving measures.
• Stakeholder Communication:
• Collaborate with project managers... engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure accurate and timely cost information and updates.
• Participate in project meetings to discuss cost-related issues, progress, and action plans.
• Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
• Identify potential risks and uncertainties related to costs and quantities and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
• Provide insights and recommendations to support informed decision-making and risk management.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a proven track record in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and costs.
• Proficiency in quantity surveying software and tools (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam).
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
