My private practice has been 'too busy' for some time now, and its time for me to bring a companion in. I consider myself a 'generalist' who has a lot of experience, with extra training/expertise in couples, family, and psychedelic-assisted therapy work. Clients reach out to my practice for: mental health struggles (mood disorders most commonly), life transitions, grief, mens' issues, career planning/life coaching, relationship issues, as well as family therapy, couples/marriage therapy, and psychedelic integration work.
Role Description
This is a part-time hybrid role for a Psychotherapist in my practice. As a Psychotherapist, you will be responsible for providing therapeutic services to clients, conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and facilitating individual and group therapy sessions. This role requires at least 2 in-person days at my office at 3030 Lincoln Ave in Coquitlam, BC (very close to the Coquitlam centre skytrain station). Days... available are: Wednesday afternoon/evening, Thursday morning, and all day Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. There is an opportunity for additional days working remote providing online therapy as well.
Qualifications
• A Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or a related field
• Licensure or registration as a Psychotherapist in BC (CCC or RCC designation)
• Experience in conducting assessments and developing treatment plans
• Strong knowledge of therapeutic techniques and at least one therapeutic modality
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently
• Empathy, compassion, and non-judgmental attitude
• Experience with Jane scheduler is helpful but its a very easy system to learn/use, so its not necessary
• A client-centered approach is essential
