Job Description & Summary

Services to be provided
• Central territory function, servicing all Lines of Services (LoS)
• Investigate data requests and issues and affect data quality changes on applicable technology platform
• Action all assigned tickets and ensure adherence to regional and global Service Level Agreements and Metrics
• Supporting the setup and verification of data to be added or changed in the source database
• Apply professional judgment to data quality queries and follow the escalation path as advised by the Team Leader
• Assists with implementation of policies and procedures
• Contribute to an excellent client service environment.

Scope of services included

This position is responsible for addressing incoming data management queries according to process and procedures. Activities include analysis and actioning of tickets and queries, participation in Data Management projects, adherence to Service and Operational Level Objectives and liaising with users where required.

Scope of services excluded

Any tasks not specified in the Data Management team’s product backlog or supported Africa Technology data management backlog, unless agreed with the Team Lead.

Approach
• The position will report to the Team Lead and work closely with the Territory Operations Data Lead with regards to identification and remediation of Data Quality exceptions.
• Projects and work tasks will be assigned through the Africa Technology scrum delivery process as prioritised and approved by the Team Lead.
• Adherence to PwC data best practices and standards.
• All work tasks to be recorded, managed and delivered within the PwC standard work management platform (Azure DevOps).
• Maintenance of professional relationships and communication with key stakeholders.

• Actioned Data Quality and/or Data Management requests
• Adherence with local and global Service Level Objectives and policies and procedures

Skills required

Essential skills:
• 6 months experience in a data analysis or data quality role(s).
• Passion for data, sharing knowledge and building a high-performance culture
• Analytical mindset, attention to detail and meticulous approach to their work
• Business acumen and ability to simplify complex topics
• Organised, structured, attention to detail, follows process
• Logical reasoning skills, ability to come to a logical conclusion
• Proactive and able to operate efficiently in a fast paced environment.
• Quick learner and ability to manage multiple initiatives and adjust to changing priorities.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to add value, influence data quality, innovate, visualise and drive results

Advantageous skills:
• Data Quality Analysis.
• SQL, Power Bi or Alteryx
