Job Purpose:

The Manager – Shared Services is placed at the helm of our customer credit application processing unit. The primary responsibility being to expertly lead this team, fostering an environment of seamless collaboration and communication among stakeholders.

The successful candidate will be instrumental in maintaining a finely-tuned operation, ensuring that daily... activities are closely monitored and that the team remains agile in response to fluctuating workloads. Your keen oversight will guarantee swift turnaround times for application processing and responsive handling of inquiries whilst ensuring the team is ready to meet unexpected traffic without compromising processing efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
• Maximise team efficiency and seek opportunities for further optimization.
• Ensure compliance with all Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and adherence to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations and internal processes.
• Promote continual learning and improvement within the team through knowledge transfer and database management.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for any non-conformance and implementing corrective and preventive actions to prevent future occurrences.
• Collaborating with credit, compliance, and legal teams to establish approval directives and guidelines.
• Maintain a customer-centric approach to drive high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Resolve internal and external disputes to ensure seamless process functioning.
• Proactively identify and eliminate bottlenecks in the customer application approval process.
• Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to address identified issues and implement solutions.
• Implement insights gained from continual learning to simplify processes and reduce processing time.

Candidate profile:
• Degree in Finance / Business Management or equivalent.
• Project Management certification is advantageous.
• Proven experience in Agile work practices, showcasing adaptability and agility in project management methodologies.
• Demonstrated expertise with a minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in operations within the financial services industry.
• Proven experience in leading a team
• Proficiency in MS Office suite with exceptional oral and written communication abilities.
• Knowledge of finance core systems to navigate complex financial processes efficiently
