Our client is looking for a Veeam consultant to assist in their backup strategy and review current backup implementation.
Location: Remote (client is in Toronto)
Duration: Short term contract 1-2 months
Responsibilities:
• Assess and analyze current data protection needs and infrastructure to develop effective Veeam backup strategies that align with organizational requirements.
• Design and implement robust Veeam backup solutions that ensure comprehensive data protection, quick recovery, and minimal downtime.
• Configure and manage backup repositories, schedules, and retention policies according to best practices and compliance requirements.
• Monitor and optimize backup operations to ensure they are efficient, secure, and capable of recovering data as planned.
• Perform regular tests of backup and recovery plans to verify the effectiveness and improve upon them as necessary.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance on Veeam products and data protection strategies to IT staff and... management.
• Document backup procedures and recovery plans, maintaining clear records for compliance and operational efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Veeam backup solutions, providing expert-level support as needed.
Requirements:
• 5+ years of experience in data protection and backup solutions, specifically with Veeam Backup & Replication.
• Strong understanding of backup concepts, disaster recovery, and business continuity practices.
• Experience with configuring and managing Veeam in complex environments, including cloud, virtual, and physical systems.
• Relevant Veeam certifications (e.g., Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE)) are highly desirable
