Position Description
We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Site Supervisor to oversee Vesta Properties' Kingsview Project in Duncan, BC. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Construction, you will directly oversee the site team in the construction of multiple townhome sites, ensuring alignment with approved Company schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
Primary Responsibilities
· Communicate effectively with the VP of Construction, other supervisor(s), staff, trades, and city inspectors daily to ensure the site functions in an orderly manner.
· Manage site personnel and trades efficiently to achieve project goals.
· Participate in the approval of project schedule templates; build homes in accordance with the approved schedules and Company construction plans & specifications.
· Maintain construction schedules and ensure site personnel, trades and other suppliers adhere to budgets and quality standards.
· Coordinate site safety meetings with key members and... ensure compliance with WCB regulations.
· Train staff and trades as needed to meet performance standards.
· Foster positive relationships with site personnel and visitors.
· Assist in sourcing new trades/vendors as required.
Qualifications
· Minimum 5 years’ experience supervising multi-unit wood frame residential projects.
· Expert knowledge of BC Building Codes and successful completion of current local Building Code Course.
· Grade 12 education or higher; completion of residential construction courses is preferred.
· Proven leadership skills, including managing and supervising subordinate staff.
· Communicates effectively and professionally (oral and written) with trades, vendors, and company staff.
· Proficient in Microsoft Project planning and scheduling software and adapts easily to new technology and software.
· Strong background in residential carpentry preferred; basic hands-on skills with construction and carpentry required.
· Proficient in reading blueprints and construction drawings.
· Level 1 First Aid Certification considered an asset.
