We are company, full of people who are passionate about caring for our coastline and the nation’s network of rivers, streams, wetlands and waterways and are seeking to hire Site Agents / Managers to join our close knit teams.
We are looking for individuals with a flexible approach and an appetite to develop within an award winning business.
Projects will include, but not limited to dredging and marine civil engineering contracts for clients ranging from government agencies to large corporations and private individuals. Works may include dredging, Scour Protection, Bridge Construction, Minor Civils, Environmental Improvement and Marine Piling.
Works will be... project based and may include some travel to project and office locations around the UK.
The Role
• Deal with developing or actual problems with resources promptly. Ensure that records of resources are complete and accurate.
• Manage subcontractors and provide direct instruction and support as necessary such that contractual arrangements are achieved.
• Understand and interpret project drawings and specifications. Identify ambiguities, errors and omissions. Manage the Technical Queries process and raise where required.
• Ensuring site quality control. Including checklists (reinforced concrete, earthworks, piling etc.), Technical Queries and Document Control.
• Preparation of RAMS and supervise delivery of them.
The Person
• Batchelors degree or equivalent such as HNC in a Civil Engineering / Construction discipline.
• Pursue a can-do attitude; being proactive and owning your work. Challenge the status quo and love what you do
• Proven experience of managing multiple high complexity projects within the relevant discipline. 5 -10 years or more experience . Experience of managing projects £1m +
• Excellent commercial awareness and proven experience of delivering profitable works
• Valid & clean driving licence
