Responsibilities:
• Perform laboratory test procedures for CLIA high complexity testing according to written procedures
• Prepare and review technical documents, including validation protocols, reports, and test procedures
• Perform analytical validation experiments of diverse assays in varying stages of the development
• Conduct QA/QC on test results and analyses
• Maintain QC by monitoring data shifts, trends, and delta checks
• Maintaining reagents and supplies inventory
• Assist project scientists to develop and optimize new biomarkers for neurodegenerative diseases
• Accurate record keeping and data/results reporting using specified paper or electronic forms. Experience with MS Office (especially Excel) and database entry
• Develop, write, and revise relevant SOPs; implement and ensure SOPs are followed while adhering to laboratory safety policies
• Perform other job duties as assigned by management
Qualifications/Education/Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in chemistry, biology, or related field with 3+ years’ work experience in a research or clinical laboratory
• Demonstrated experience working with human biological specimens, e.g. blood. Proper understanding of all applicable biosafety rules, policies, and procedures
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and cooperatively
• Excellent organizational skills with ability to maintain workflow and work productively in meeting critical milestones
• Demonstrated ability to work with flexibility on several projects simultaneously and to meet various concurrent deadlines
• Organized and detail-oriented with good communication skills
• Drive a high-performance environment with a culture of teamwork, constant progress, and customer focus
• Experience with immunoassays, liquid chromatography, or mass spectrometry desirable, but not mandatory
Pay: 65K – 70K/yr
Hours: Mon – Fri, 8A – 5P
