Job Description

Electric vehicles deliver a major contribution to the reduction of CO2 emission and offer a fascinating driving experience. This is defined by high power at simultaneously high efficiency of electric vehicles and is enabled to a great extent by the semiconductor devices used in the electrical traction drive. Wide-bandgap semiconductors such as silicon carbide (SiC) and gallium nitride (GaN) enable the fabrication of extremely energy efficient power electronics.

Become a part of our team and develop with us novel wide bandgap power semiconductor concepts and devices:
• As a Device and TCAD simulation engineer, you... are responsible for the simulative design and development of wide bandgap power devices with regard to the specifications of various target applications.
• Thanks to your experience, you will actively drive forward the development of new chip processes and entire process flows for the production of power components.
• You perform simulations to build-up the understanding of the interaction between design/process and the electrical characteristic of the devices.
• The evaluation and benchmarking of new device concepts and the protection of new ideas by patents is also part of your task.

Qualifications
• Education: excellent Master's degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Microsystems Technology or similar with focus on Semiconductor Technology; a PhD is beneficial
• Experience and Knowledge: sound knowledge and experience on simulation of power semiconductors and electrical devices; distinct experience and knowledge on solid state physics, physics of power semiconductors and technology and the fabrication of semiconductors
