Seeking General Manager-The Hotels at Fagers Island located in Ocean City, MD
QUALIFICATIONS...
• Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management, Business Management or a related field
• 3-4 years of experience in hotel or in another management position
• Understanding of basic financial statements, scheduling and ordering
• Ability to effectively communicate professionally with all employees
• Ability to effectively listen, understand and clarify guest concerns
• Effective leadership abilities, strategic planning and strong operational skills
• Possess high standards of personal appearance and grooming
• Effective in anticipating, solving and handling problems as they arise
• Ability to multitask and understand job requirements for all positions in the hotel
• Maintain confidentiality of information
RESPONSIBILITIES
• The General Manager is responsible for the overall operation of the hotel on a day to day basis
ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction and financial success
• Recruit, train and manage employees from all departments
• Respond promptly to guest issues and resolve complaints effectively and efficiently
• Monitor guest review and ratings and regularly communicate information with ownership
• Meet with ownership regularly to maximize revenue through pricing strategies and sales initiatives
• Work with marketing personnel to help develop all mediums to increase occupancy and revenue
• Work with maintenance staff to maintain the physical condition of the hotel to ensure proper upkeep
and adherence to safety standards as well as local, state and federal regulations
• Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices
• Prepare regular reports for hotel owners as directed
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
