An Assistant Manager, Finance job has become available at a company in the mining industry based in Cheras.

About the Assistant Manager, Finance Role:
As the Assistant Manager, Finance, you will mainly be involved in handling the accounting related matters for the company.

Key Responsibilities:
• Produce monthly or yearly financial reports and analysis, monthly cost centre dashboard and presentations for the reporting superior
• Be primarily in charge of overall bookkeeping role; AR, AP, bank reconciliation, inventory, etc. and closing full set of monthly financial reports independently
• Oversee the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, management reports and regulatory fillings
• Conduct comprehensive financial analysis including budgeting, highlighting key performance indicators, trends and variances
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, accounting standards
• Oversee the accounts payable closing and ensure all costs have been capture... correctly and analyse of all accounts on a monthly basis
• Develop cash flow statements, reviewing, monitoring and managing budgets
• Develop, implement and monitor appropriate financial procedures, standards and internal control to support the efficient and effective operation of the finance function

To succeed in this Assistant Manager, Finance role, you must have good analytical and presentation skills with good communication skills.

Key Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting or related field
• Relevant professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, ICAEW and others professional certificate is highly desirable
• Proven track record of at least five to seven years in progressively responsible finance roles, including significant experience in financial management and external audit, coupled with an advantageous background in the mining or manufacturing industry
• Good command of English and report writing skills
• Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy
• Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial analysis techniques
• Ability to deal with sensitive information with discretion and to maintain confidentiality
• Good IT skills, including a working knowledge of presentation software packages, preferably Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint
