Responsibilities
Class Teacher responsibilities for this position include:
Demonstrate knowledge of grade-level standards, benchmarks, and curriculum proficiency in lesson planning and unit design
Work with a state of the art curriculum that is planned by teachers and responsive to where children are developmentally to ensure they are getting what they need to be successful in the future
Use data daily and weekly to drive instructional practices and provide students with feedback on their progress and to create action plans to respond to gaps in student understanding
Help to create a classroom climate and environment where students can safely develop ownership of their actions and learning
Effectively supervise and manage a classroom of up to 30 students
Enforce and uphold schools values, policies, and culture
Communicate regularly with families about the progress of students through phone calls, report cards and behavioral and academic progress reports, and remain available... to students and families in the evening
