The North Bay and District Humane Society, located in beautiful North Bay, Ontario, is seeking a
qualified DVM candidate to join its thriving spay-neuter practice. The NBHS is a CVO accredited
Companion Animal Hospital and is Northern Ontario’s only low-cost, high volume spay and
neuter clinic, serving public clients from throughout Ontario in addition to in-house animals as
part of the Humane Society’s adoption program.
Reporting to the Executive Director, the successful candidate will work with our veterinary team
to provide daily care for... in-house animals as well as the sterilization of public clients through our
pet clinic. The position is potentially full-time and the successful candidate will work alongside
the current in-house veterinarian and existing veterinary staff on a flexible schedule.
Qualifications
The successful candidate possesses:
• License to practice veterinary medicine • Passion for ending overpopulation
• 1-3 years on the job experience • Excellent educational qualifications
• Excellent organization skills • Professional references
• Exceptional time management skills • Field work considered an asset
