Based in Calgary, Alberta , the Licensed Alberta Land Surveyor (ALS) will report to the General Manager, Geomatics and will have a wide range of duties which ultimately focus on project and client management in the Land Development Market. You will be part of an energetic and professional team that offers a full range of traditional cadastral surveying and mapping services to private and public sector clients across Alberta.

What You’ll... Do:

The Licensed Alberta Land Surveyor (ALS) will be part of the Geomatics team. You will:
Work with the support of Project Coordinators for bidding and proposal preparation, project setup, logistics, resource and technical planning and execution, billing, and collections Undertake project management of cadastral surveys for land development and municipal infrastructure projects. Supervise field crews both in the field and remotely from the office Supervise drafting as well as QA/QC staff in the creation of survey products Check and sign cadastral survey plans and reports Engage directly with private and public sector clients, related government agencies, and other stakeholders to determine and fulfill project goals and requirements Be responsible for internal and external client relations and business development Work together with other TULLOCH business lines, including Planning and Engineering, to provide top level integrated services to our clients

Who You Are:

Who You Are:
You must be a Licensed Alberta Land Surveyor (ALS) You have 5+ years of professional cadastral surveying experience. A thorough understanding of Alberta land development market with emphasis on DP Surveys, RPRs, subdivision, strata, and condominium developments. You have an understanding of the capabilities and limitations of state-of-the-art land surveying equipment and techniques You have experience working effectively within cross-disciplinary teams You have an aptitude for business development and exercise independent judgment in alignment with business objectives You are able to travel and complete site inspections and fieldwork when necessary You can pivot and alter approach or recommendations to accomplish desired results

What You Should Bring:

In addition to being a Licensed Alberta Land Surveyor (ALS), you should have:
High motivation with results-oriented focus Superior organizational and multi-tasking skills Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills Excellent communication skills (oral and written) Ability to navigate confidential matters and manage sensitive data Proficiency in MS Office Suite (TEAMs, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Proficiency in CAD platforms for calculations and plan checking purposes
