About Kidjaberg Golf Club
Kidjaberg Golf Club is a 18 hole golf club located 15 minutes from Selfoss in Iceland. It is a beautiful golf course renowned for its excellent greens and scenic view.
The assistant greenkeeper is a temporary position with full responsibility for maintaining and preparing the course for member and visitors.
Hours of Work
The hours of work are those necessary to carry out the duties detailed in the job description. On average over these will amount to a 40 hour week.
Job Description
1. Maintain the course, - greens, teeing areas, fairways, practice ground etc and areas such as flower beds, car park and paths in accordance with the standards laid down by the Greens Committee.
2. Carry out any course developments agreed with the Greens Committee.
3. Carry out routine maintenance and minor repair of machinery.
Skills and Experience
1. Have experience of all aspects grounds maintenance relevant to a golf course including mowing, tractor driving, seeding... and top-dressing, tining/slitting and watering, bunker raking etc. Ideally this will have been gained at a golf course but may have been gained elsewhere, for example with a local authority.
2. Be able to carry out minor machinery maintenance.
3. A qualification in greenkeeping will be an advantage but is not essential.
Kidjaberg Golf Club will provid accommodations during employment as well as paid flights to/from Iceland, lunch and provide a vehicle the individual can use with other employees at Kidjaberg Golf Club when off duty
