WE Talent are currently working with a global business based in Colchester, that are looking for a Financial Controller to join their organisation.

This innovative business has international coverage and is looking for the right candidate to not only look after the UK team but oversee duties for their other branches.

This role will suit an operational Financial Controller and will be working closely and reporting into the CFO. They offer a flexible hybrid working pattern including other fantastic benefits!

The duties include
• Oversee and manage the finance department
• Overview accounting function and management reports
• Providing support to the CFO when developing and maintaining financial controls, processes, and systems.
• Reviewing and analysing monthly and quarterly numbers and disclosures
• Managing audit... processes and provide necessary documents and support
• Collaborating with the companies executive team, establishing more effective processes and controls. Also providing accurate and comprehensive financial information to guide effective policy making and strategy
• Liaising with external accountants for tax, payroll and accounting preparation
• Preparing forecasts for review by CFO
• Monthly preparation of balance sheet verification and schedules
• Preparing reports for the board
• Deputise for the CFO when required
• Management of international accounting including financial statements and consolidated set of financial statements including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow.
• Sales and VAT reporting
• Credit control overview
• Payroll management

Experience needed
• Previous international accounting experience or working within a global business
• Previous managerial experience
• SAP experience is essential
• Experience working with Sharperlight is beneficial but not essential as training can be provided
• ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualified
• Previous experience working with auditors
