CAREER OPPORTUNITY: PROCESS IMPROVEMENT MANAGER

(Full-Time; 1 position available; Onsite; Mon-Fri; 40 hours/week)

Client Overview:

My Client is a privately-held, Canadian owned and operated waste management company in its 51st year of business. With over 200 vehicles servicing Greater Toronto and Canada, the Company’s mission is to provide its clients with an organized and efficient methodology for controlling and managing their waste and the environment around them.

Role Duties & Responsibilities:

The Process Improvement Manager will.be responsible for leading the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives within the organization. This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for enhancement, designing process improvements and oversee the change management process.

Reporting to the VP, Finance, the Process Improvement Manager’s role responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

· Develop and execute... strategies for process improvement, process optimization and organizational change;

· Facilitate stakeholder engagement and communication plans to ensure smooth transition during change implementation;

· Monitor and report on the progress of improvement projects, ensuring they deliver desired outcomes within scope, budget and timelines;

· Provide training and support to staff on new processes and systems;

· Conduct process mapping and analyze data to identify trends, inefficiencies and opportunities for further improvements;

· Collaborate with Management to align process improvements with business goals;

· Prepare reports, as required, on the status of change initiatives for Senior Management;

· Lead cross-functional project teams to drive process improvement projects;

· Other related duties, as assigned.

Skills, Experience and Education requirements:

Our top candidate for this role will have all or most of the following experience, education and skills:

· 3-5 years’ relevant process improvement role experience – preferably from within the solid waste operations or recycling industry; (consideration will be also be given to those from the trucking/logistics industries);

· Bachelor’s Degree or College diploma preferred; or equivalent combination of post-secondary education and relevant professional work experience;

· Strong project management skills with a high attention to details, accuracy, deadlines goals and objectives; (PMP certification is an asset, but not required);

· Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and tech-savvy to learn new software systems quickly;

· Exceptional presentation, reporting and communication skills (written and verbal);

· High level of competency to instruct, coach and train employees at all levels to ensure success and engagement with new processes and initiatives; (certification in Adult Education is an asset, but not required);

· Excellent time management, multi-tasking, motivation and problem-solving skills;

· High attention and adherence to all Company policies and procedures;

· High level of initiative, patience, inclusivity and enthusiasm;

· Strong ability to provide constructive feedback, work collaboratively and encourage improvement and change;

· A professional work ethic with a passion to always meet and/or exceed expectations;

· Able to work effectively independently as well as collaboratively with a team;

· Commitment to commuting to/from Company’s Etobicoke, ON office site on a daily basis
