At the FMA, the work you do counts. We lead better, fairer outcomes for investors, consumers, and New Zealanders. Our innovative people drive the evolution of the financial industry, influencing the market and effecting positive change. Our remit is expanding and evolving, which means we need new talent to join our newly created Research & Insights team.

He angitūtanga: The opportunity

We currently have an opportunity available for a Senior Analyst, Data and Intelligence in the Research & Insights team. Reporting to the Manager, Research & Insights, you will be responsible for deepening the FMA's understanding of current and future financial market risks and supporting the FMA's response to them.

He kōrero mōu: About you

As our Senior Analyst, Data and Intelligence, you will identify... and develop actionable intelligence to key FMA issues and will assist across a range of FMA functions. Our ideal candidate will be an experienced analyst who has deep data collection, interpretation, and presentation skills, a natural influencer who can collaborate with a wide range of key decision makers. You will have experience with either SQL, Python, Brandwatch, and/or Power BI.

If you pride yourself on providing great recommendations, you enjoy building strong relationships across the business and are always wanting to dig further into a problem then this would be a role you would really enjoy.

What's special about our team?

The work we're involved in is as challenging as it is interesting. What's more, you'll be joining a supportive team culture working with people who love what they do. We offer a comprehensive induction programme and ongoing opportunities for professional development and continuous learning.

We pride ourselves on achieving a great work-life balance - it's not just a thing we say we do! We offer flexible working arrangements to support you in your life outside of work and have created a range of wellness and social activities for our people to connect and socialise.
