Job Description:

Responsible to create, analyze and execute User acceptance testing for Mexico Banking Operations users. Must participate in the development of projects, initiatives and process enhancements generating expert knowledge of the operational activities of all users in order to represent their interests on requirement testing (Functional) and regression (BAU functions) as well as train the Operational teams in any new features/functionalities. Tester will also be responsible to identify, generate and lead detailed test scripts in order to ensure no defects are passed to production as well as generate expert advice on requirements/user stories.

Responsibilities:

• Comply with mandatory, regulatory and corporate trainings on time
• Comply with the guidelines established in the Code of Conduct
• Comply with the procedures and corporate standards designed for the execution, monitoring, design and evidence tracking processes for the UAT Ops and change management practices, controls and standards.
• Creation of test scripts including but not limited to:
• Functional, regression, destructive, smoke, performance and shakeout tests as well as E2E coverage for applicable features.
• Execute and document test strategy, test documentation such as test plans, defect evidence and script details as well as daily UAT status for assigned projects.
• Provide expert training to Operational users, ensuring full knowledge of applicable processes with the same level as an operator.
• Escalate and triage defect resolutions, guiding project teams on design, solution, and requirements.
• Identify, document and escalate control deficiencies, ensuring flawless execution of processes.
• Participate in project and initiatives aimed to enhance or develop new functionalities and contribute with expert knowledge to optimize and automate activities while mitigating risk
• Provide expert advice on a consulting basis for Operational users on new features and functions

Requirements:

• Knowledge and usage of technological tools required in testing such as Microsoft office suite, particularly Excel (Macro creation, Access or Alteryx experience is a plus) as well as Jira, Horizon, Quality Center, Kanban, Mural, etc.
• Experience in User (1 year minimum) acceptance testing, Quality assurance testing, System integration testing or any other, focused on end-user processes.
• Able to learn process details by observation/deep dive without executing tasks directly (keen observer). Able to identify opportunities, risks and key details based on process overviews.
• Critical thinking and self managed, able to discern priorities based on urgency/impact
• Self-sufficient and intellectually curious
• Responsibility and accountability for asigned duties and activities
• High capability to holistically analyze business processes end-to-end
• High capability to recognize process deficiencies and promote solutions to mitigate risk
• Ability to work under pressure in a team environment
• Open to feedback and continuous improvement
• Fluent in English, able to maintain business conversations, both orally and in writing
• Experience in banking projects (either commercial, consumer or regulatory) preferred
