You will also be responsible... for the scripting and automated test executions of trial specific configurations of the Protas Clinical Trials Management platform, following best coding practices to write and maintain test cases and ensure that testing, verification, validation and related document generation activities make maximum use of automation and are scalable and reusable across multiple trial configurations.

About Protas

Protas is an independent not-for-profit organisation, designing and delivering large, global randomized clinical trials of treatments for common and other life-threatening diseases. Protas is led by the epidemiologist and physician, Professor Sir Martin Landray, who has over 20 years’ experience of leading large, randomized clinical trials as part of a team at Oxford University’s Nuffield Department of Population Health. Most recently, he has been co-leading the landmark RECOVERY clinical trial into treatments for COVID-19 which identified that treatment with the inexpensive steroid drug dexamethasone, improved the chances of survival for the most severe cases. It’s an incredibly rewarding place to work where you’ll be surrounded by supportive colleagues who are experts in their own field of excellence. It’s an exciting time to start with us.

About You

You have broad software quality assurance experience, software test automation or ‘developer in test team’ experience preferably in an agile delivery methodology, and experience in software verification and validation within healthcare or pharma alongside quality management systems aligned with the FDA General Principles of Software Validation. You are a detail focused self-starter with an appreciation of experiential learning, able to adapt and prioritise tasks, as well as building and maintaining productive relationships with diverse stakeholders and technology teams. You are someone who embraces learning innovative technologies or features and sharing knowledge with others, who has the ability to balance the creative qualities associated with entrepreneurial cultures with the professionalism, disciplines, and maturity of more established environments. Furthermore, you can explain complex technical topics in simple terms and function as an advocate for sound architecture and software development and configuration practices both internally and externally.

Finally, you will have experience in working with third-party geographically distributed teams.
