Our client, a large fresh produce wholesaler, is looking to expand their sales team due to the ongoing success and growth of their business.

This account development role encompasses both inside and outside sales. As well as dealing directly with retail stores the role will also require interaction with Regional Head Offices, and Food Distributors.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop a structured call cycle that combines farming existing accounts while identifying new business opportunities.
• Meet sales budgets and monthly sales targets, providing reports as required
• Negotiate price with accounts to protect the dynamics between both margins and volume sales
• Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, promotions, etc.
• Recommend changes in product assortment, service, and policies that reflect your market
• Respond to customer complaints by working closely with the customer and sales management to resolve the issues... promptly.
• Work closely with the National Key Account Managers to ensure programs are meeting the needs of the local market.
• Assist Accounting in seeking credit approval on new accounts along with credit monitoring for the roster of accounts (ensuring accounts are all within terms)

REQUIREMENTS
• A minimum of 2 years of sales experience with a hunter mentality
• Strong negotiations skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Organizational and solid time management skills
• Able to work independently
• Motivated for sales and growth, and determined to meet goals
• A great team player
• Valid driver's licence
• Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Windows
