Position Role Type:

The Space Systems Financial Planning and Analysis Department is responsible for the analysis of financial data and the development of financial forecasts to support a $450 million business. In addition to business decision support for IMS leadership, the department ensures accuracy and completeness of financial results in compliance with corporate policy and US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and provides reporting to ensure shareholder information needs are met.

We are currently searching for a Senior Manger to join our team. This Sr Manager, FP&A supports a role for a substantial portfolio in our Mission Systems business for analyzing and reporting of the Space Systems financials. We are looking for a detail-oriented, skilled professional to collaborate with Senior Leadership in setting annual operating budgets and maintain monthly forecasts, report, variance analysis, and provide specialty ad-hoc financial analysis. He/she is responsible for understanding and preparing correcting journal entries when needed to support the monthly financial closing. He/she will provide support to executive leadership for the presentation of financial information. He/she is responsible for reconciling, understanding and confirming our financial data to support the monthly financial closing process and will utilize FACT, Hyperion Planning and SAP heavily for analysis and reporting.

This role will be performed remotely from any Collins Aerospace location both domestic or remote.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Prepare and analyze inputs for monthly forecast for sales, profit and cash flow, and perform same effort for Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Strategic Financial Plan (SFP)
• Providing detailed analysis of variances and summary of changes to support presentations to executive leadership
• Identify/quantify risks and opportunities to ensure that the team and management are informed of the financial status and impact.
• Consolidation and presentation of financial data
• Networks with senior internal personnel in support of the portfolio. Represents organization as a prime contact on financial information.
• Ad hoc financial support for the Space Systems Business
• Travel would be limited to less than 10% domestic

Qualifications/ Experience Needed:
• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements

Preferred Qualifications:
• SAP, HP and HFM knowledge, excellent Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Ability to build relationships and foster a collaborative environment with all stakeholders
• Comfortable working in a data driven, fast-paced, ambiguous, and entrepreneurial environment
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills with ability to derive insights from data analysis
• Self-directed and resourceful with the ability to prioritize work and manage multiple projects
• Demonstrated talent development
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skills
• Integrity, reliability, initiative, and the ability to meet tight deadlines

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
