Fender Music Corporation is seeking a Merchandiser for our Tokyo office. Our brand mission is to accompany each player at every stage with products and brand experiences that fuel the pursuit of musical expression.

Education and/or Certifications and/or Training:

• College or university graduate
• Language: Japanese... (Native/Advanced), English (Native/Advanced)

Minimum Professional Experience:

• Minimum 3-5year s of product management experiences in Music instruments industries or 5 years of PM experiences in hardware products

Primary Skills & Responsibilities:

• Communicate internal product management team about new products
• Understand and Build product positioning
• Create the best assortment plan for retail store
• Create new products road map for retail store
• Analyze trends and demands and create a report
• Add value to the sales strategy from products point of view.
• Provide products sessions for retail store’s staff
• Analyze the sales results by products line at retail store
• Work with RF scanner and SAP computer system
• Confidently work unsupervised
• Excellent communications skills and workflow management

Business Knowledge, Skill Requirements, and Desired Attributes:

• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Ability to speak business English and communicate with people globally
• Ability to take the initiative to learn and solve problems
• Strong Presentation skills in front of the audience
• Cross-departmental communication skills
• Understanding of the flow of selling a product from the factory
• Think and act pro-actively without being told what to do
• Music lover especially guitars or basses. (*If you can play guitar or bass, even better.)
