Administrative Assistant (23240437)

The Department of Translation, Interpreting and Intercultural Studies is now seeking a highly motivated person to provide a range of administrative support to the Department.

Responsibilities:
• Providing clerical support to academic programmes, departmental activities and the General Office;
• Performing general reception duties, e.g. Handling general email account and enquiries, venue reservation and lab booking;
• Liaising with applicants, students, departments and units;
• Handling student and staff applications/nominations and data collection;
• Receiving and dispatching mails and documents within the campus;
• Assisting in record retention and filing/e-filing;
• Supervising student helpers; and
• Performing any other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
• A higher diploma or an associate degree, preferably a bachelor’s degree, with at least two years’ relevant... work experience;
• Good command of English and Chinese (both Cantonese and Putonghua);
• Competency in computer software applications and basic statistics;
• Organised, detail-minded, proactive, and able to work independently; and
• Strong sense of responsibility.

The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to performance review, mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
