A Snapshot of Your Day

We are currently seeking for an EHS and Quality

Lead to join our team considering the expanding market opportunities within the

dynamic energy sector. Quality and EHS are of paramount importance within the organization

and business. In line with that, we would expect you to have a sound

understanding of Quality and EHS fundamentals as well as experiences in

implementing the Quality and EHS Management System with an integrated approach with

all applicable standards (ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001) and Legislative / Legal

requirements. You will be responsible for all Quality and EHS processes and

activities within Japan in liaison with Asia Pacific Quality, EHS and Security

Head and roll it across various functions / disciplines within the business. Therefore,

you shall posses’ excellent communication and leadership

skills as well as collaboration attributes.

How You’ll Make an Impact
• Champion of Quality and EHS within the organization /

business in... Japan
• Sound knowledge of Legislative / Regulatory and International

Standards requirements and keeps abreast with the changes ensuring all

functions / personnel within the organization / business are made aware as

applicable.
• Guiding and educating all personnel on Quality and EHS

requirements based on the established management system.
• Disseminating Quality and EHS details and information from

Business and Region on timely manner in accordance with the line of

communication.
• Ensure timely engagements with internal and external

stakeholder as well as fulfilling all requirements considering the interfaces

along the life of an activity or project.
• Diligently participate in all meetings, engagements and collaborate

with the region focal points on Quality and EHS matters and ensure all

applicable requirements are effectively rolled out across the Business in

Japan.
• Ensures Japan Quality and EHS activities are adhering and

where applicable complementing with the Business and Regional EHS and Quality Plan

/ Road Map.
• Plan and perform internal management system audits and

project audits in accordance with the Audit Plan in liaison with Region Coordinator

or focal points.
• Plan, Coordinate and facilitate all external audits from

either Customer, Regulator Bodies and / or accreditation Bodies, follow up on

actions if any and ensure it is closed out satisfactorily.
• Attending to all incidents with utmost urgency with

emphasis on appropriate and prompt reporting within the system and line of

communication depending on severity of the incident.
• Completes the incident management lifecycle requirements

within the stipulated timeline with focus on preventing recurrence and where applicable

occurrence on a risk-based approach.
• Ensure the corrective and preventive actions i.e. Lesson

Learned are implemented effectively and the effectiveness of those are gauged

during inspections or audits as part of the continuous improvement

process.
• Ensure training requirements for Office, Project personnel and

contractors are fulfilled in accordance with the established training matrix.
• All training records are maintained appropriately and

easily accessible and retrievable.
• Facilitates and guide all relevant personnel / functions on

risk management / assessment methodology.
• Ensures risk assessments are performed and covered wide

across all activities within the organization and business.
• Review and update the risk assessment accordingly considering

review cycle, audit finding, customer requirements and incidents.
• Ensure accurate, complete and timely internal and external Quality

and EHS reporting in accordance with the stipulated requirements and frequency.
• Always being proactive and seeking ways and mechanisms to

improve Quality and EHS with emphasis on Lean Management, simplification,

Digitalization and Innovation which are essence of continuous improvement.

What You Bring
• Holder of a Class-1

health supervisor license” (第一種衛生管理者), according to Japan “Industrial

Safety and Health Act” which recognizes you as competent Safety and Health

Officer.
• Bachelor’s

degree in technical education, training, and/or Quality and / or EHS-related

fields (e.g., Safety Officer, Quality Engineer), or possess recognized certificates

that showcase your expertise.
• Minimum of 5

years of hands-on experience in the field of EHS and Quality.
• Understands the

incident management lifecycle comprising incident reporting including

classification, containment / corrections, Root cause analysis and

corrective actions.
• Good command of

English, both written and spoken, ensuring seamless communication in our

global environment
• Good

communication and presentation skills, enabling you to effectively convey Quality

and EHS details and requirements to diverse audiences.
• Ability to

lead, guide and collaborate with various functions / disciplines s on all

Quality and EHS matters.
• Having a Lead

Auditor Certificate in ISO 9001, 14001 and/or 45001 will be an added

advantage otherwise trained as an internal Auditor with good understanding

on Audit lifecycle is essential.
• Ability to

analyze and solve Quality and EHS matters, identifying root causes on

quality non-conformance or EHS incident and establishing appropriate

corrective actions.
• Profound understanding

of applicable statutory / legislative requirements, ensuring our

operations adhere to all relevant requirements.
• Experience within

the energy sector or power plants will be an added advantage, allowing you

to bring domain-specific insights to the role.
• Possesses knowledge

on security elements within Japan and internationally that is essential

for the business will be an added advantage,

Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and

decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines

under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities

through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
