The Role

As a senior member of the Service Desk team, the Desktop Support Analyst provides effective technology support for staff across the PTA. The role is responsible for account management involving Active Directory, Exchange and internal applications.

In this position you will provide technical assistance and coaching for junior Service Desk staff and is the escalation point for priority incidents.

About you

The successful... candidate will have excellent communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal) including the ability to develop a rapport with internal customers and work effectively and productively in a team environment and provide assistance and support for Service Desk Analysts.

Your planning and organising skills including the ability to prioritise tasks and to cope with competing demands and priorities with minimal supervision are crucial to your success in this role.

To be considered for this role, you will have:
• Possession of ITIL Foundation Certificate and / or demonstrated experience in a relevant field.
• Possession of a relevant technical qualification or certification and demonstrated experience in the delivery of second level support.
• Demonstrated advanced knowledge and experience of the installation and administration of IT hardware and software technologies.

You will have the ability to work extended, unsocial and irregular hours and be ‘on call’ when required.

This is a pool recruitment process where suitable applicants will be placed in a pool for 12 months from which permanent or fixed term appointments with the possibility of further extension(s) and/or permanency will be made. There is currently one (1) full time permanent position available for immediate appointment.
