Senior Staff Accountant - Non-Assurance

Position Overview:

A Senior Staff Accountant specializing in non-Assurance provides a range of accounting and financial services to client. Typically, the position focuses on, Compilations (NTR), Corporate and personal taxes, and other engagements within a public accounting firm. The Senior Staff Accountant contributes to clients' financial success by providing expert advice, compliance services, and strategic guidance.

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare compilation engagements in compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations.
• Assist clients with corporate tax planning, preparation, and compliance, ensuring adherence to Canadian tax laws and regulations.
• Manage the preparation and filing of taxes for individuals and businesses, including T1, T2, T4’s and other relevant forms.
• Analyze financial data, interpret trends, and provide meaningful insights and recommendations to clients.
• Build and maintain strong client... relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and identifying opportunities for additional services.
• Stay updated on changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients.
• Support and mentor junior team members, fostering their professional development.
• Stay current with industry trends, developments, and best practices related to non-assurance, NTR engagements, and taxes.

Qualifications and Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (CPA designation preferred).
• Extensive experience in public accounting, with a focus on non-assurance, NTR engagements, corporate tax, and T Forms.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, tax laws, and regulations, including experience with T1, T2, T4’s and other relevant forms.
• Proficiency in using accounting and tax software and tools.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and client relationship management skills.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and handle multiple engagements simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Leadership abilities and experience in supporting and mentoring junior team members.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
