THE ROLE
As our Electrical & Automation Lead Engineer, your primary focus will be on seamlessly integrating electrical systems, encompassing power, navigation, alarm, and monitoring systems. Your ultimate objective is the comprehensive integration of these intricate systems within our workboats. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead the engineering process, liaising with our engineering partners, and maintaining open communication channels with clients, suppliers, and... our shipyards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
If you thrive on:
• Crafting functional descriptions and technical specifications for electrical systems and equipment, as well as evaluating supplier specifications;
• Developing preliminary one-line diagrams, load-balancing strategies, and arranging panel and cable tray configurations;
• Orchestrating and overseeing interfaces and system integration with other disciplines such as Shipbuilding and Mechanical, alongside co-makers;
• Managing the technical and organizational aspects of multiple projects concurrently, overseeing various engineering teams;
• Leading and guiding project-specific engineering teams, including junior E&A engineers;
• Providing support to clients, classification societies, and national authorities during the approval process.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
You should bring:
• A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering;
• A minimum of five years of relevant experience, ideally within the shipbuilding sector;
• Proficiency in communication, both in Dutch and English;
• Experience in the functional development of Electrification and/or Control & Monitoring systems;
• Strong English and Dutch communication skills are essential.
