Pennington Montessori School is a small, independent and non-profit preschool located in central New Jersey. Our students range in age from 6W through Kindergarten. We have 2 Infant/Explorer classrooms (6W-18M), 3 Toddler classrooms (18M-3Y), and 4 Pre-Primary classrooms (3Y-6Y/Kindergarten). Each of our Head/Lead teachers are Montessori certified and many of our assistant teachers are also certified. Ours is a warm and supportive community which places an emphasis on building solid and supportinve relationships with our families and colleagues and many of our teachers and assistants have remained with us for over 20 years. We have openings for Assistant Teachers across all of our programs: Infant/Explorer (6W-18M), Toddler (18M-3Y), and Pre-Primary (3Y-Kindergarten). Flexible scheduling, either Full Time or Part Time is available. The requirements for the position are that the candidate can reasonably commute to 08534 daily, has completed some college or has a higher education degree,is able to begin the role in September 2024 (in some cases earlier) and someone who has a genuine love for children and can be committed to ensuring their first experience in education is a positive one.
Ideally, the right candidate will have some understanding of the Montessori approach, has interest in obtaining his/her Montessori teaching credentials, and has a genuine passion for the Montessori pedagogy.
