Communications Officer/Public Affairs Officer - Local Authority

We have an excellent opportunity for a Communications Officer to join a Local Authority within their Public Affairs department on a 6+ month contract.

Location: BR1 3UH, Hybrid

Start date: ASAP

Contract duration: 6+ months

Working hours: Mon - Fri, 08:30 - 17:00, 36 hours p/w

Pay rate: £14 p/h

As the Communications Officer, your duties will include:

Write for press releases, social media and magazine articles.

To plan a communications strategy and action plan around any of the council's services with a particular emphasis initially on Housing, Planning, Regeneration and Strategic Property.

To research, write and produce materials targeted at a variety of different audiences both internal and external.

Deliver the communications plan, to include, writing press releases, web material, leaflets, newsletters, magazine articles and social media.
