General Description

The Business Analyst's role is to facilitate and collect business/functional requirements and support fraud systems, services and applications that help the organization make business decisions and outcomes. This position is expected to support strategic initiatives and drive the standardization of process documentation. Also find and implement solutions and processes that improve efficiency and productivity in the assigned area of responsibility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Develop and implement authentication systems/processes that prevent fraud and protect sensitive information and Popular assets.
• Analyze current authentication systems to identify vulnerabilities and develop solutions to enhance security.
• Collaborate with the fraud prevention team to ensure that all systems are up to date with the latest security technologies and techniques.
• Provide guidance and training to employees on best practices for authentication.
• Monitor and analyze... data to detect potential fraud or security breaches.
• Conduct audits and assessments of existing authentication systems to identify potential weaknesses.
• Stay up to date with the latest security technologies and trends, ensuring availability and knowledge of current trends and best practices to provide recommendations for new solutions and authentication processes in general.
• Manage analytics and reporting for operational areas in scope.
• Work with other teams within the organization to ensure a cohesive approach to fraud prevention and security.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This Job has no supervisory responsibilities but in special circumstances may lead the work of others.

Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering

• At least two (2) years of experience in process improvement, project management and/or analytical tasks and providing final reports.
• Courses in Lean/Six Sigma philosophy, Agile or related, preferably.

Certifications / Licenses (Nice to have)
Business Analyst CertificationPMPMicrosoft Certified Professional (MCP)

Other Qualifications
• Proficient knowledge of tools and methodologies such as design thinking, customer journey mapping, programming concepts and analytics.
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative, prioritize work, manage time, and respond effectively to a rapidly changing environment.
• Intermediate (Advanced is a plus) in the use of Office 365 Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Power BI.
• Proficient in using Visio and data managing tools such as SAS, Cognos, Power Pivot, among other.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Spanish and English.
• Strong technical aptitude, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
• Team player, comfortable with fast-paced, changing environment and ambiguity.
• Process development and implementation experience.
• Ability to define, aggregate and analyze business results for management decision making.
• Process improvement oriented.
• Capability to collaborate in effective teams.
• Detail oriented and organized.
