jobs description

We are a high performance, entrepreneurial, and customer driven product team seeking a reverse logistics shop floor system administration, configuration, data, and metrics manager.

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we’re looking for talented people who want to help.

You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing... seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.

Key job responsibilities
• Managing user accounts and system configurations to meet evolving business requirements, such as onboarding new users, launching new sort capabilities, or creating new sort security controls.
• Acting as operations point of contact to document, root cause, and resolve system and cross-service integration incidents.
• Maintaining system ticket queue and providing regular status updates to users tracking system incidents.
• Monitoring system KPIs, integration audit logs, and team metrics to identify and resolve security and operational risks from within the system.
• Collaborating with operators, peers, and provider to drive continuous improvements for our users.
• Auditing system data, maintaining data hygiene and related reporting to maintain compliance to our commitment of zero data defects.
• Executing user acceptance test cycles for upcoming solutions and enhancements, documenting findings and holding a high bar for delivery against expectations.
• Advocating on behalf of the user by documenting problem statements, solutions, and impacts for design reviews and planning cycles.

A day in the life

This role will be responsible for maintaining application user accounts, configurations, integrations, and data. It will drive initiatives to improve user performance and process repeatability. This scope will provide the opportunity to learn the depths of a complex reverse logistics warehouse management system, and to directly improve operations for hundreds of global users. Auditing activity logs to identify security threats, driving short and long-term improvements in data quality, testing configuration changes or enhancements to ensure a successful implementation, and deep diving application metrics to identify/drive continuous user improvement is all in a day’s work for the Reverse Logistics System Administrator.

About The Team

The Re:Cycle Reverse Logistics Operation team offers worldwide data centers a centralized means to sort, function test, in-warranty return, and disposition server and networking components that break or are no longer needed in the supply chain. The team is seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, and self-driven System Administrator to support these global operations in maintaining the warehouse management system that makes it all possible.
