About the role

Canadian Blood Services is looking for a Regular Full-Time Analyst, Systems III to join our dynamic IT Internal Customer Experience team.

The IT Internal Customer Experience team is responsible for ensuring a positive and seamless experience for internal users within Canadian Blood Services who interact with IT services and systems.

As part of your responsibilities, you'll collaborate closely with development teams and product owners to create automation tools and enhance current build and release processes.

By doing so, you'll help boost the IT organization's capacity and availability. Reporting to the Manager, IT Optimization, you will focus on refining infrastructure and application development environments and processes.

Additionally, you'll offer guidance and support to development teams and projects, as well as to existing systems.

Formula for success
• Drawing upon your proficiency in Microsoft technologies, you will enhance infrastructure and application development, ensuring seamless integration with Microsoft technologies.
• Applying your identity management expertise, you will provide counsel in systems and software integration, emphasizing secure user authentication and authorization.

This encompasses the implementation and maintenance of identity solutions such as Azure Active Directory and on-premise active directory.
• Applying your expertise in Microsoft technologies, you will establish and monitor configuration standards. Additionally, you will provide technical support and education to colleagues on automation, processes, and Microsoft standards.
• Harnessing your collaborative skills, you will collaborate with diverse teams to devise inventive solutions. Emphasis will be placed on integrating Microsoft technologies and Azure cloud to augment overall system functionality.
• Employing Microsoft analytics tools, you will monitor metrics and suggest process / system improvements. This includes utilizing Azure monitoring capabilities to refine overall performance and reliability.
• Applying your expertise in Microsoft best practices, you will develop and implement operational processes. This involves generating technical reports and documentation that incorporate Azure cloud and identity management principles.

Desired education and skills
• Post-secondary level education in a relevant discipline from a recognized academic institution, preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science or Computer / Software Engineering.
• Possessing one of the below certifications is an asset :
• Microsoft 365 Certified : Administrator Expert
• Microsoft 365 Certified : Security Administrator Associate
• Microsoft 365 Certified : Azure Administrator Associate
• Microsoft Certified : Azure Security Engineer Associate
• Microsoft Certified : Azure Solutions Architect Expert
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience working in a similar role.
• Experience with Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, and Office 365.
• Familiarity with Azure Cloud Technologies.
• Understanding of container concepts, continuous integration, deployment automation, and infrastructure automation.
• Experience with infrastructure and application monitoring.
• Proficiency in Windows Server and / or Linux operating systems.

What you can expect
• This role will work in a hybrid environment with requirements to be onsite at a Canadian Blood Services location 40% of the time / 2 days of the week.
• You will work Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, 7.5 hours per day.
• If you are located outside of Ottawa, you may be expected to travel to our office location in Ottawa 2540 Lancaster Rd, quarterly for in-person team meetings when required.
