Damm Fine Food Co, one of Melbourne’s leading catering and event companies, is looking for a vibrant, creative and seriously passionate Event Assistant to the Company Director on a full-time basis.

About the role

This junior role requires the successful applicant to have well rounded experience in event coordination and exceptional organisation skills. You will be responsible for assisting the company Director in the planning and execution of premium weddings, corporate and private events. You will also have general executive assistant duties including administration and office support as well as social media and marketing administration.

Key Responsibilities

Event administration + planning

Provide administrative support to the Company Director

Social media and marketing administration

Required Skills

2 years of professional experience in event coordination or assistant role

Tertiary degree in hospitality or events looked upon favourably though not essential

Previous... hospitality, airline or tourism experience favourable but not essential

Computer savvy and have strong Apple Mac skills

Proven customer service skills and client relationship management

Canva skills favourable

You will possess excellent written and verbal communications with a strong ability to collaborate.

Operational knowledge of events

Ability to multitask and work under pressure

Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment

Organisational & prioritisation skills

An understanding of social media and digital marketing.

Ideally you will be someone who’s creative, passionate about events, a self-starter with a keen eye for new trends
