Opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced Financial Coordinator to be an integral part of our team. The successful candidate will be a critical resource across a number... of our engagements and accounting teams. The Financial Coordinator will be responsible for administering and coordinating the full cycle accounting functions for our client engagements, and ultimately ensuring that deliverables are met, on time. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, have excellent management, communication and administrative skills, and will bring their significant experience in excel, cloud-based invoicing, accounts payable, general bookkeeping and document management systems to support the modernized financials solutions that we have implemented for our clients. Experience working for a healthcare organization, medical clinic, hospital or related environment and understanding of the various income streams for medical practitioners is also an asset.

This is a growth position allowing the successful candidate to develop their skills in all our business segments. This is primarily a remote role but will require periodic in-person meetings. Responsibilities:

· Coordinate with physicians to process reimbursements and other payments on their behalf.

· Liaise with billing agent, hospital and university staff as required.

· Collect and organize invoices with vendors.

· Liaise with bookkeeping staff to ensure timely and accurate entries.

· Manage the bi-monthly pay run process, including the processing of entries to the accounts payable system/software and coordination of approvals, to process physicians and vendor payments on a monthly basis.

· Administer the firm’s project management/CRM software coordinate with team members and clients to ensure deliverables are met on a timely basis.

· General administrative duties, including the coordination and scheduling of meetings, recording of action items, data entry, and other related tasks.

· Assist with billing of clients and collection of payments.

· Maintain ongoing communications with clients to ensure strong relationships and transparency in finances.

Qualifications & Experience

· Experience in a professional services firm, hospital, medical clinic and/or academic practice plan.

· Educational background in a relevant discipline (finance, administration, business).

· Advanced skills in Excel, Word, and Adobe and document management applications (sharepoint, one-drive, google drive, etc).

· Demonstrated experience and expertise with small business bookkeeping and a variety of cloud-based AP/AR and accounting applications.

· Experience working independently in a fast paced environment with multiple clients and deliverables.

· Ability to problem-solve and multi-task.

· Candidate must be authorized to work in Canada.
