Marketing + Communications Lead / Consultant

Job Responsibilities:

• Ability to work remotely with our team in Canada/Internationally – candidates must be able to work in the Eastern Standard Time Zone.

• The role we’re looking for is a contract/consulting position, remote – with most of our team based in the GTA.

Marketing + Communications /

• Support the development of annual client Marketing + Communications planning, including Marketing Strategy and approach across all Marketing & Communication channels.

• Work alongside The Creative Collective team on Marketing & Communications Strategy work including company positioning, existing marketing & communications /competitor audits, customer insights, customer journey mapping, client segmentation, client personas & targeting.

• Participate in client workshopping and presentations.

• Develop and lead the creation of materials for digital and print such as company presentations, brochures, Internal Communications collateral, Social Media campaigns, Business Development tools, and website content.

• Lead writing for assignments such as client pitch decks, blogs, trend papers, email newsletters and sustainability reports.

Branding /

• Support Visual Identity and client Branding projects – new company branding, company brand re-positioning.

• Work alongside team to support new businesses /s tart-ups with naming and visual identity programs – participating in brand, design, naming and communications sprints.

Digital Marketing /

• Support Digital Marketing strategies– working alongside content creators to design and develop creative. Share art direction ideas with teammates when appropriate.

• Lead client content strategies for social media and monthly planning.

• Share analytics and insights with clients on a regular basis.

Project Management /

• Collaborate with teammates where needed to develop the right solution for our clients.

• Manage multiple projects within project specifications and time parameters.

• Determine voice and messaging for Marketing, Communications and Brand projects.

• Listen to feedback, honing solutions and improving client deliverables.

• Create Marketing & Communications solutions that convey an accurate tone for the project.

• You have strong time management skills, and the ability to work on multiple projects at once, with various deadlines.

• You’re a self-starter: you can work independently where needed to identify priorities and get things done.

• You’re known for your attention to detail. Ensuring that all client or team specifications are met and free from errors.

• You have the patience to send projects through approval processes, and often work with different teammates to get a job done.

• You have a creative mindset: and the ability to be able to bring a solution to life with simple instructions.

• You work with a wide range of media and Marketing & Communications software including Adobe Acrobat, MS Office, Teams, Zoom, Slack, Later, Keynote, Pages, Canva, Squarespace, Salesforce, Mailchimp, etc.

• You have strong organizational skills to keep up with various client needs or team projects.

• You are flexible and able to switch between projects, or pivot quickly should the requirements of the project change.

Job Qualifications & Training:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications or Business

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong presentations skills

• Experience in one of the following industries: Professional Services Marketing/Communications, Business-to-Business Marketing, Real Estate, Startup, Agency environment.

• Success shown working in a remote / hybrid role.

• Minimum of 5-10 years’ experience in Marketing & Communications fields.

• Proficiency in programs such as Adobe Creative Suite, Squarespace, Canva, Later, Teams, Slack, Pages, Keynote, Salesforce, Planoly, Mailchimp / E-Marketing Software.

• Portfolio of work with a wide range of creative projects.

• Attention to detail.

• Strong analytical skills.

• Time management and organizational skills.
