The Position
The Main objective of the role is to work with the Technical Services manager and team to provide process support to our external customers in the UK and abroad and drive the growth plan in NWF Europe securing new business and supporting existing business. Projects will be allocated in line with the pipeline customers and priorities. The scope of the work will be varied and challenging and not limited to a few accounts. To develop and refine prototypes in line with customer requirements. Working in partnership with the customer and NWF sales teams within budgets and deadlines to successfully secure new business and retain and develop existing business. To work with the... wider R&D and Commercial team to develop and deploy new strategies in line with business plans that ensure NWF R&D continues to lead in the markets that we operate in.

To have a depth/range of knowledge and expertise that enables the individual to:
• Manage priorities across multiple projects.
• Understand the manufacturing footprint, dynamics and capability of NWF plants.
• Be an experienced and credible team player.
• Be a credible and experienced Food Technologist who can influence the way the business operates and works to the highest standards at all times.
• Ability to communicate appropriately across a broad spectrum of people.
• Be cost aware and be able to relate this to projects and also in identifying opportunities for NWF.
• Be a self-starter and identify where their activities can have the biggest impact.
• Promote the most efficient ways of working and positively challenge existing practices that appear to inefficient or unnecessary.
Person Specification
• This position requires a minimum of a BS degree in food science or related discipline with 5+ year’s industry experience pertinent to product development & application process support, project management and influencing and managing people. Ideally within the savory ingredients sector.
• Full clean driving license.
Location & Hours of work
This is a position based at the UK and European Head Office in Ossett, working a basic 37.5 hour week, Monday to Friday. However due to the nature of this role you will need to demonstrate a certain amount of flexibility and have the ability to work away from home with the potential to travel overseas
